Sermon Summary

Main Focus:
This sermon centers on the Kingdom of God—what it is, how to enter it, how it functions, and how believers are called to live as citizens of it. Jesus came not to establish religion, culture, or tradition, but to establish God’s Kingdom on earth, a reign that is spiritual, eternal, and transformative.

Key Themes & Teachings
  1. Definition of the Kingdom of God

    • The Kingdom is wherever God reigns as King and His will is carried out.

    • It is not physical, political, or material, but a spiritual reality (Romans 14:17).

    • It is marked by righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit.

    • Unlike earthly kingdoms, it cannot be overthrown and it never ends.

  2. How to Enter the Kingdom

    • Jesus taught: “Repent, for the Kingdom of God is at hand” (Matt. 4:17).

    • Entry requires repentance and being born again (John 3:3).

    • Without understanding the Kingdom, one cannot function in it.

  3. Principles of Kingdom Living

    • Faith, not need, drives the Kingdom (Hebrews 11:6; Mark 11:22–24).

    • Humility and love are the “uniforms” of Kingdom citizens; pride and ego have no place.

    • Believers must live by Kingdom principles, not worldly patterns.

    • God’s provision flows from His reign—“The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want” (Psalm 23:1).

  4. Kingdom vs. Worldly Systems

    • Earthly kingdoms are built on money, power, and human will.

    • The kingdom of darkness promotes selfishness, greed, false religion, and deception (2 Tim. 3:1–5; 1 Tim. 4:1–3).

    • Many “worldly kingdoms” (businesses, governments, personal empires) seek influence, but God’s Kingdom supersedes them all.

  5. Kingdom Power & Reality

    • Kingdom life means God supplies your needs and turns all things for good (Romans 8:28).

    • Citizens live by faith in God’s promises, not anxiety or dependence on people.

    • Failures are not final—they are learning curves. Victory is guaranteed when following God’s leading.

    • Jesus as Lord and Savior ensures that no other force can “lord over” you.

  6. Warnings & Last Days Awareness

    • Apostasy, false teaching, and worldly living mark the last days—believers must stay rooted in Kingdom principles.

    • Walking by worldly patterns leads out of the Kingdom covering and into spiritual defeat.

  7. Supernatural Nature of the Kingdom

    • Jesus’ parables (e.g., mustard seed, fig tree) show the hyperbolic, supernatural growth and power of the Kingdom.

    • In God’s Kingdom, ordinary seeds produce extraordinary results because the power is divine.

Practical Applications for Believers
  • Repent daily and realign with God’s will.

  • Clothe yourself with humility—ego has no place in Kingdom culture.

  • Live by faith, not need—trust God for provision instead of depending on borrowing or worldly systems.

  • Renew your mind (Rom. 12:2)—the Kingdom operates from within, transforming thought patterns before external results.

  • Celebrate God’s reign instead of merely tolerating church life—your response invites God’s presence and blessing.

Sermon transcript

(0:00) Getting real. Somebody get real. When you get real, we are not talking about getting real with all (0:11) the challenges of the world.
We want to get real with God. Amen. So, when you read the Gospels, (0:22) Jesus came to preach the kingdom of God.
You know, Jesus came to establish the kingdom of God. (0:30) The kingdom of God is a topic Jesus came for. In the New Testament, nearly 150 times (0:36) is mentioned the kingdom of God.
And when the disciples saw Jesus praying in the Gospel of (0:43) Luke chapter 11 or Matthew 6, and he went and asked the Lord, teach us to pray. (0:50) So, you know what is the first line he taught them to pray? Our Father. When he was teaching (0:57) his disciples about the basic principles to become a disciple, he told them, guys, (1:03) seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, all the things shall be, (1:10) not some, all the things shall be added.
Before that, if you read Matthew 6, Jesus was teaching (1:17) them, don’t worry about too many things, where to go, what to eat, where to sleep, (1:23) and who will, what clothes, what clothes I need to wear. He said, all those pagans bother. (1:30) Your Father in heaven clothed you beautifully.
How many of you believe in the days to come, (1:37) is going to be greater than the days of the past? God said, gold is mine, silver is mine. (1:44) If I need something, will I ask you? Cattle of thousand hills are mine. In the days, (1:51) the glory of the latter days will be greater than the glory of the past.
So, Jesus came (2:00) to establish the kingdom of God. When he was preaching, he said, repent, (2:05) the kingdom of God is at hand. Now, what is this kingdom of God? Now, there is a problem.
(2:13) Church is the kingdom of God. You are God’s kingdom, okay? You are a kingdom, you are a (2:18) child of God, you are in God’s kingdom. Now, what is the kingdom of God? Kingdom of God is where (2:25) God is a king.
He rules and reigns. His will is established. His plans are executed and no one (2:35) can stop it.
So, the kingdom of the world, you know what is kingdom? You need to know what is (2:41) kingdom. Kingdom is where the king’s will are established. Now, if you come around, you know, (2:48) India is like a kingdom now.
You can’t talk against many things and we have a lot of kingdoms around (2:55) us, near us. Some very powerful, influential people, they have kind of established a kingdom (3:00) and if you are living, many times we are affected by the small and big kingdoms. (3:07) You know, you can’t go against certain things, you can’t cross certain lines (3:11) and you can’t do certain things but remember, Jesus came to establish a kingdom.
It’s a kingdom (3:19) within the kingdoms. The kingdom of God is a kingdom that never ends because he’s a king whom (3:27) the ruling power has been given. He is the glory of the nation, the most desired one of all the (3:34) earth.
So, Jesus came to establish a kingdom. He kept saying, the kingdom of God is at hand (3:43) and John chapter 3, unless you’re born again, you will not enter into that kingdom of God. (3:49) Now, when you read the Bible, how can I become part of the kingdom of God? Number one, repent.
(3:55) Number two, be born again. Now, if you’re not born again, you don’t even know what is the kingdom. (4:02) Now, there’s a problem.
If you don’t know what is kingdom of God, then you don’t know whether you got (4:09) it or not. Yes or no? If I don’t know what is the kingdom of God, how it functions, number one, I (4:19) don’t know whether I got it or not and number two, even if I’m in it, I don’t know how to function (4:25) because I don’t know what is the kingdom of God. I just want to make it as simple as possible.
(4:29) The kingdom of God, Jesus came to establish the kingdom of God. We are invited to be in the kingdom (4:36) of God. Kingdom of God, kingdom where God is the king.
His wills are established. Kingdom of God (4:46) is not physical. It’s not the matter of food or drink.
Bible says, kingdom of God is a matter of (4:53) righteousness, joy, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. That’s the kingdom of God. So, when you (5:00) are in the kingdom of God, you will have the righteousness, peace and the joy in the Holy (5:05) Spirit.
In the kingdom of God, there is no lack of resources. Amen? Kingdom of God is not driven by (5:18) needs and wants. Kingdom of God is driven by faith and faith alone.
(5:25) So, when you are a kingdomite, you have to clothe yourself with love and humility. (5:36) God doesn’t like prideful people. Somebody said, ego is not a fruit of the Holy Spirit.
(5:43) Humility is a fruit of the Holy Spirit. When you are in the kingdom, you are expected to wear (5:49) a costume of love and humility. When you are in the kingdom of God, where Jesus is the king, (5:59) he shall supply all your needs according to his riches and glory.
Can I get amen for that? (6:05) Amen. David said, the Lord is my shepherd, I shall not bend. It’s cancelled.
All the wants (6:12) cancelled. The Lord is my shepherd. So, Jesus came, not to preach the gospel of poverty or (6:22) prosperity or religion or cult or any caste or any of these things.
Jesus came to establish the (6:32) kingdom of God. Now, we are a kingdom within the kingdom. We have to live according to the (6:40) principles of the kingdom in order to remain in the kingdom.
Sometimes we do slip off to the (6:48) kingdom of the worlds. And we do try to follow the patterns of this world. See, whenever you (6:55) follow the pattern of the world, you are stepping out of the kingdom of God.
That’s why you have (6:59) needs and problems. When you walk in the kingdom of God, everything that happens to you, God makes (7:09) it for good. Romans chapter 8 verse 28, we know that God works all things for good.
First Thessalonians (7:17) chapter 5 verse 23, therefore give thanks to God and everything. That’s the will of God concerning (7:24) you in Christ Jesus. So, when you are in the kingdom, God is your king.
He is a king not ruling (7:33) you from some palace, somewhere far distant place. He is a king who comes and abode with you. (7:43) Jesus comes and abode with you.
He comes and lives inside of you. He is not a king who lives in some (7:52) palace and leads you. He is a king who leaves his palace, come inside of you, lead you from inside.
(8:00) The kingdom of God Jesus invited us to be is a kingdom, is spiritual, is not natural. (8:09) You know, when Jesus had his first round of preaching and his three years of ministry, (8:14) a lot of people came. Many thought Jesus was going to have a kingdom established (8:19) by kicking the Romans out and Jewish kingdom is going to come.
But when they saw that it’s (8:26) not happening, many left. And Judas was a terrorist. He was a revolter.
He wanted the Jewish people to (8:36) be free. So he waited till the end and he saw that Jesus is not doing anything and he’s going to be (8:43) talking about him getting betrayed and getting crucified and killing himself. Judas said, (8:50) let me make some money final round.
This guy is not going to have the kingdom. Judas got (8:55) disappointed with Jesus because he thought he’s going to have a kingdom. And when he found that (9:00) kingdom is not what he thought, he tried to betray Jesus, hoping that Jesus will escape.
(9:07) When he saw that Jesus is not putting no effort to escape, he felt so guilty, he went and hang (9:14) himself. When you become born again, you become the member of the kingdom of God, where God is (9:22) solely responsible to provide all your needs. Do you believe that? How many of you are ready to say, (9:30) God will provide all my needs? You know, we are not called to live by needs and wants.
(9:38) We are called to live by faith. Everything that God inspires you, you must step out and do it. (9:48) What if I fail? I’ll get up and do it again.
What if I fail again? I’ll do it again. (9:53) But God, I’m not able to do what you’re saying. Doesn’t matter because you’re not depending on (9:58) your strength, you’re going to learn to depend on God’s strength.
Amen. If ever God says you to do (10:08) something, just do it. Don’t ask too many questions.
Just do it. So in the kingdom of God, where God is (10:21) the king, everything is under his rulership. His promises to you is written in the Bible.
(10:32) What all he provides, how he looks after you, how he’ll protect you, everything is written. (10:38) Now, unfortunately, you know, I read of first Timothy chapter 4 verse 1 to 3 and second Timothy (10:47) chapter 3 verse 1 to 5. The Bible says these are last days. (10:54) Bible says the spirit of God expressively says these are the last days.
And the second one says (11:05) this. And the first line of the second Timothy chapter 3 verse 1 line. (11:21) So you should know this.
So God expects us to know this. In the last days, perilous time will come. (11:29) Or the most difficult situation will come.
What is the difficult situation? People become selfish, (11:34) Pretenders, blusters, rude, proud, arrogant, self-seeking, pretending to be spiritual but (11:43) deny its power, you know, lovers of themselves and greedy, brutal, all these words are used, (11:52) isn’t it? (11:52) And the first Peter, first Moti chapter 4 when you read, he says, Spirit expressively (11:59) say, last days people will come with the demonic teachings, teaching that is contrary to the (12:06) teaching of the Bible and they will forbid you from getting married, they will tell you (12:12) don’t eat certain food is unholy and all these things will happen. (12:17) In these two portion of the Bible says, be careful, these are the last days. (12:22) Now 2,000 years back, if apostle Paul says these are the last days, after 2,000 years (12:28) I am telling you these are the last days of the last days, probably the last hour (12:32) of the last days.
(12:35) So now that is the kingdom of the devil, okay? (12:39) In the kingdom of devil is full of selfish, evil, sensual, self-seeking, pretending to (12:44) be spiritual, denying its power, self-harmers, lovers of money, boastful people. (12:50) Listen, when you see such kind of people, don’t get discouraged. (12:53) It’s unfortunate such kind of people turn up to the church instead of getting born again, (13:01) they will try to make you dead again.
(13:06) You know, these kind of worldly evil people who are pumpers and dumpers, I call them, (13:13) you know, they give you false promises. (13:18) Kingdom of God is built on principles, not convenience. (13:23) Jesus said, if you wanted to enter my kingdom, repent and the kingdom of God is at hand.
(13:31) Kingdom is only for people who repent. (13:35) In the kingdom of God, humility is your costume and faith is your journey. (13:43) Now remember, earthly kingdoms are built on earthly things, material things, but the heavenly (13:49) kingdom is not built with the material things.
(13:53) Heavenly kingdom is built on spirituality and faith. (14:01) Apostle Paul said to Galatians, you foolish Galatians, who has bewitched you, you started (14:10) the spirit, now you’re going in the flesh. (14:13) Remember, our eyes should be always on God, not on what we got, not what you have.
(14:21) Your eyes should be always on God from where your health come from. (14:26) So heavenly kingdom, the kingdom of God is a invisible spiritual kingdom. (14:33) It operates through your mind, not through the material things.
(14:41) That’s what Apostle Paul said, by the mercies of God, I beseech you, therefore, do not be (14:47) conformed to this world, but be transformed by renewal of your mind. (14:54) So kingdom of God get established from within, not from outside. (15:00) What is kingdom of God? (15:02) Kingdom of God is God’s active reign and will.
(15:07) It signifies a sphere where God’s will is perfectly done, where his authority is recognized, (15:16) where his purpose are being accomplished. (15:20) Listen, in God’s kingdom, God does everything perfect. (15:27) If things are not perfect in your life, you would ask yourself, am I in his kingdom or (15:32) I’m out? (15:33) Now, we are a kingdom within the kingdom.
(15:36) Like I said earlier, there are a lot of kingdoms around us. (15:39) Kingdom of Ravi, kingdom of San Antonio, kingdom of Matthew. (15:45) I employ a lot of people.
(15:46) So there are a lot of kingdoms, kingdom of Goa, kingdom, everybody has a money and power, (15:52) has a kingdom of their own. (15:54) And every kingdom try to influence and inward into our life. (15:59) We can’t stop it.
(16:01) But you got to remember you are a child of the kingdom of God, where God reigns and (16:08) rules, his will is established, his perfect plan and purpose always carry down irrespective (16:15) of how many demons fight against it. (16:19) If God has decided you to be a millionaire, nobody can stop the war. (16:24) You know, when I was growing in the ministry and somebody came and they played some dirty (16:31) trick and took certain things which were supposed to be for me.
(16:35) So I was very upset and I prayed. (16:37) God showed me a picture and asked me, Matthew, if somebody tried to give you something, another (16:44) person can influence him and stop him from giving. (16:48) Oh, somebody can snatch it.
(16:50) You know, Wagner is giving and Wagner can snatch it. (16:53) But what if God is giving you something? (16:55) Can anybody snatch it? (16:58) Can anybody influence God and don’t give it to Matthew? (17:02) It’s bad. (17:03) God says, I know every iota of it, every cell of it.
(17:09) By knowing very well only I decided to give it. (17:11) See, if God decided to give, nobody can. (17:14) So, kingdom of God is a place where God’s perfect, not permission, perfect will is established.
(17:22) Now, both the present and the future. (17:26) Jesus often spoke about the kingdom of God at hand or among you, indicating its present (17:33) reality in his ministry. (17:36) Miracles, the lives of who follow him.
(17:39) However, he also spoke of his future, full realization at his second coming. (17:45) When God’s reign will be fully established on the earth, this is often referred as an (17:50) inaugurated eschatology. (17:53) When you become born again, you enter into the kingdom of God.
(17:56) It’s a permanent citizen. (17:58) You travel through this world as a child of God, where Jesus is your Lord and Savior. (18:06) How many of you made a choice to have Jesus as your Lord and Savior? (18:11) What is Lord? (18:12) Lord means one who? (18:14) Lord over you, don’t I? (18:16) One who owns you.
(18:18) How many of you say, I’m owned by God? (18:21) Amen. (18:22) So when Jesus is the Lord, he will not allow any little demons to come and lord over you. (18:31) No devil can lord over you because he is the Lord.
(18:34) He is the Lord. (18:35) He is the king. (18:36) He is the supreme Lord.
(18:37) There is no Lord better than him. (18:38) Number two, we accept him as Savior. (18:41) What does a Savior does? (18:42) Savior is the business of Savior.
(18:45) Correct? (18:45) So we walk by faith. (18:47) We do things that God says to do. (18:49) We make a lot of mistakes.
(18:51) We fail. (18:53) Every time you fail, you have beautiful Savior standing beside to lift you up again. (19:00) So whatever God told you to do, just do it.
(19:03) Don’t worry about failure. (19:06) Follow your dream. (19:07) Follow your heart.
(19:09) Whatever the Holy Spirit inspired you, do it without thinking too much. (19:16) Listen, when you follow what God shows you, your victory is guaranteed. (19:25) In Jesus, there is no failure.
(19:28) There is only learning curves. (19:30) So, when you come into the kingdom of God, where God is a king, (19:36) he supplies all you need. (19:39) He is spiritually transformative.
(19:41) And the kingdom that God speaks is not of this world. (19:46) So how many of you are a kingdom? (19:48) How many of you are in the kingdom of God? (19:50) Listen, if you want to be the kingdom of God, you have to be cruel, in humility, (19:58) and you have to learn to walk by faith. (20:02) Without learning to walk by faith, you cannot praise God.
(20:08) Looking always for who will help me, who will give me the money, trying to borrow. (20:12) See, the borrower is a slave of the lender. (20:14) Never borrow money.
(20:16) Never borrow money for your daily living. (20:20) If you have no money, live without money. (20:22) No food, your men will starve you, starve successfully.
(20:30) Jesus is not adapted to any man. (20:34) If you become part of his kingdom, (20:38) in his kingdom, everything happens according to his will. (20:42) It’s perfected.
(20:44) In his kingdom, there is no imperfection. (20:47) In his kingdom, there is no half-done job. (20:50) Now, let me ask, are you a part of God’s kingdom? (20:52) Remember, remember, any person who is a part of the kingdom of God, (20:58) he is a person who is clothed in humility.
(21:01) If you are not clothed in humility, you are not in his kingdom. (21:06) I’m sorry. (21:07) You may be coming to faith community, but not entering the kingdom of God.
(21:12) And a person of the kingdom of God, he knows that the kingdom that God has (21:17) is not of this world, it’s spiritual. (21:22) You know, there are ten parables Jesus said about the kingdom of God. (21:28) Almost all the parables are very hyperbolic.
(21:31) You know, hyperbolic is imaginary exaggerated. (21:37) Jesus said, for example, in a mustard seed will grow like a big tree (21:41) and the birds will take refuge in it. (21:45) That’s a lie.
(21:47) Mustard seed only grow this height and die. (21:51) But hyperbolic, you know, the thing that God says to you is supernatural. (21:56) It’s not natural.
(21:58) Natural, mustard seed can grow only this much. (22:02) Supernatural, mustard seed can grow as a large tree. (22:07) Natural, fig tree will not be dried overnight.
(22:10) Supernatural, fig tree dry to the core on the same day. (22:16) So, when you walk by faith, you must look to God for great things.
