Why leave a Gift in your Will?
Faith Community Church depends on the gifts people leave in their Wills to take make the Word of God known to many living in darkness. Your gift could help us reach out across India offering people hope in a world without hope. We at Faith Community help smaller churches grow into vibrant centers of love and justice for all.
There are three different types of gifts you could leave in your will: residuary, pecuniary and specific. A residuary gift is a way of leaving a share of your estate, once all other payments, debts and gifts to loved ones have been made. A pecuniary gift is a fixed sum of money. A specific gift is a particular item, possession, building or shares.
Many people decide that leaving a share of their estate is preferable as this ensures their gift keeps pace with inflation, whereas a cash gift may decrease in value by the time the Will comes to fruition.
